Red Raider Sports’ Matt Clare talked to Caldwell about his commitment to Texas Tech and Joey McGuire:

“His (McGuire’s) message to me has always been just come be a part of something great,” Caldwell said. “Texas Tech is building one of the biggest dynasties in college football, this recruiting class and the upcoming one. So, it’s definitely something I’d like to be a part of, and just being part of a national championship caliber team is definitely appealing.”

There’s a lot more there, so go check it out.

McGuire & Co. is putting together a terrific class thus far, 24/7 Sports says that it is 11th overall and Rivals/On3 says that Texas Tech is 2nd, right behind TAMU and ahead of Oklahoma. And Caldwell is obviously uber talented, he’s physically just better than anyone that is attempting to cover him. And the skill offensive players in this class, WR Benny Easter, QB Kavian Bryant, and RB SaRod Baker is ridiculous.
