Ths is the only video we get from day 2 at camp. There was no post-season availability that was posted online yesterday.

The official site has a bit on day 2 of preseason camp as the team went to Covenant Women’s & Children’s Hospital to visit some sick kiddos.

LAJ’s Don Williams writes about kicker Clayton Hatfield and his brand-spanking new scholarship as well as special teams coach Joe Robinson not wanting to mess up anything that Hatfield did last year:

“I think one of my charges is not to mess Hatfield up,” Robinson said. “He’s got a pretty good percentage coming in — as strong a percentage as anybody in the country. Great confidence. He’s very smart. He understands his craft. I hope he can continue exactly what he did. We’re confident in him.”

LAJ’s Don Williams has a notebook focusing on Talor Nunez, the defensive lineman that tore his ACL last year and defensive line coach Kevin Patrick thinks that Nunez could play multiple rolls for the team:

“He’s kind of the Swiss army knife of our defensive line,” new assistant coach Kevin Patrick said. “He’s a jack of all trades. He’ll provide some depth at tackle. He’s got great size. He’s got some great speed, and he’ll be able to play some defensive end and some defensive tackle for us in different situations.”

Williams goes back to Joe Robinson and Robinson quotes Steve Spurrier about this being the “talking season” and also with Patrick about how Breiden Fehoko needs to make his teammates better this year so that he can improve.

ESPN’s Jake Trotter ranks the Big 12 running backs and has Justin Stockton 8th overall:

8. Justin Stockton, Texas Tech Red Raiders: Stockton has big shoes to fill in replacing All-Big 12 back DeAndre Washington. Stockton, however, brings plenty of speed and will be a threat to score any time he touches the ball.
