Maybe the best position group that is returning on the team? This is a deep group, albeit the eligibility number won’t be all that high. That will change slightly when some players sign (Xavier Benson is committed and seems as if he will sign, but I won’t add committed players until they sign).

Depending on how things set up, you can still expect a heavy dose of Allen and Brooks and maybe we get to see a bit more of some of these other guys who have been on the roster and maybe relegated to special teams play. You wonder if there will be some transfers as a result of some of that playing time not being available. And this is really an issue of the Big 12, not being able to play 3 linebackers because of how the offenses play is much different than how defenses attacked offense a few years ago. Pretty much every program is running a 4-2-5 sort of defense, including Texas Tech (Justus Parker is listed as a weakside linebacker, but he’s pretty much a safety). I hope we get to see more of Moore and Picone this spring. Picone was out all year with an injury, so I hope he’s healthy and ready to go this spring, I thought his tape coming out of high school was really good, same as Moore. I hope he gets an opportunity at linebacker to make some plays.
